Operating Conditions 

Operating Pressure Maximum dynamic load: 20 MPa. Maximum static load: 40 MPa (200 MPa with back-up ring)
Speed Reciprocating up to 15 m/s. Rotating up to 1.3 m/s
Temperature -70 °C to +300 °C. Special PTFE materials as well as alternative spring materials are available for applications outside this temperature range.
Media Virtually all fluids, chemicals and gases

Important Note :The above data are maximum values and cannot be used at the same time, e.g. the maximum operating speed depends on material type, pressure, temperature and gap value. Temperature range also depends on media.

The standard spring material for PVM is stainless steel (spring code S).

Installation lead-in chamfers and steps to include blend radii and are to be polished.

* We recommend that the gap dimensions be reduced for temperatures ≥ 80 °C. At pressures > 40 MPa a Back-up Ring would be incorporated and the extrusion gap would not be considered.
